Enrollment Policy & Procedures
For American Red Cross Courses & Certification Standards
1. Eligibility & Pre-Requisites
- Participants must meet all listed course prerequisites prior to enrollment (e.g., current CPR certification for instructor-level courses).
- Proof of age & legal United States Issued identification required to enter class and for certifications.
- Some advanced-level courses may require professional or clinical experience.
2. Registration Process
- Enrollment is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Registration must be completed online or in person, and payment must be received in full to confirm a seat.
- Students will receive a confirmation email with class details, location, and required materials.
3. Attendance Requirements
- Full attendance is required for certification.
- Late arrivals of more than 15 minutes may result in dismissal from class without refund.
- Students must participate in all skills sessions, lectures, and assessments.
4. Certification Standards
- All courses follow American Red Cross-national curriculum guidelines and certification protocols.
- Certification is issued upon successful completion of required assessments, including:
- Written exam (when applicable)
- Hands-on skills demonstration
- Instructor evaluation
5. Course Completion
- Participants who meet all course objectives will receive a digital certificate via the American Red Cross Learning Center.
- Certifications are valid for 1–2 years, depending on the course type.
6. Refunds, Transfers & Cancellations
- NO REFUND POLICY. Notify DHSNA up to 24 hours before the course start time or any schedule changes. After 2 reschedules, must pay new fee.
- One-time course transfers may be granted with advance notice.
- Courses with low enrollment may be rescheduled or canceled, in which case participants will be notified and offered alternate dates or a full refund.
7. Code of Conduct
- Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward instructors and fellow students.
- Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the course without refund.
8. Accessibility & Accommodations
- The campus complies with ADA guidelines. Participants requiring special accommodations must contact the administration at least 7 days prior to the course start date.
